  • AS’s claims that Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain are leading the race for Mesut Ozil – Arsenal are being very strongly linked tonight.
  • Brendan Rodgers confirmed after Liverpool’s victory over Manchester United that Victor Moses, Mamadou Sakho and Tiago Ilori were set to sign on Monday.
  • Genoa have rejected an approach from West Ham for Italy striker Alberto Gilardino, according to Sky Sport Italy’s Gianluca di Marzio.
  • Palermo’s Italy international goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano is expected to fly into London later today in advance of a medical at Arsenal tomorrow.
  • Kaka’s expected return to AC Milan from Real Madrid has edged a little closer ahead of tomorrow’s deadline
  • Chelsea have completed the signing of Christian Atsu from FC Porto. Atusu has joined the Blues on a five-year-contract for a reported £3.5m fee and will be loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem for the rest of the season.

  • Arsenal have made a move for Lille attacker Salomon Kalou. The Daily Mail says Arsenal have held talks with Lille over a move for Kalou. He can leave on a £2.6million deal and wages of around £60,000 a week. Arsenal are weighing up whether to push through the deal as they continue to discuss big names signings.
  • Liverpool have landed defender Tiago Ilori, 20, from Sporting Lisbon for £8m, after beating off interest from Monaco and Valencia.

  • Wayne Rooney is out of Manchester United’s trip to Liverpool on Sunday. The 27-year-old could miss England’s World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine after having 10 stitches in a head gash suffered in training on Saturday.

  • Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has rejoined the North London club on a free transfer from Ac Milan and The 29 year old will earn £3.2m per annum
  • Another former Arsenal player William Gallas 36 who was released by Tottenham at the end of last season is set for a sensational return to the premier league with Crystal Palace keen to sign the Frenchman
  • Meanwhile Chelsea who have been really busy in this transfer window are reportedly planning a last ditch move to sign Dortmund’s hitman Robert Lewandowski
  • The Blues are also set to tie up a deal to capture Samuel Eto’o from Anzhi after the Cameroonian captain arrived in London to finalize the deal
  • Real Madrid are eyeing Barcelona midfielder Kiko Femenia. Barca are granting Kiko a free transfer after Barca B coach Eusebio Sacristan failed to include him in his preseason plans.
