REPORT: Ronaldo Set For Shock £77m Old Trafford Return If Bale Arrives

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo could be set to make a sensational return to his old club Manchester United, after it emerged that he has become unsettled by Gareth Bale’s arrival at the Bernabeu.


 With Bale’s £94million world record move from Tottenham all but confirmed, inevitable question marks will be raised over Ronaldo’s role in the team, as the Welshman is arguably competing for the same position in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting eleven.

 Ronaldo would still no doubt be an expensive purchase, and it seems that a bid of £77million might be enough for United to land the Portuguese international, in what would represent a dream signing for new manager David Moyes in his first summer at the club.
Despite scoring a phenomenal 201 goals in 200 appearances for the Spanish giants, Ronaldo has stalled on signing a new contract with the club, and it has been hinted that he is unhappy with how publicly Real have pursued Bale this summer, as well as his move breaking the world record for highest transfer fee, which Ronaldo set in 2009 when he left United for £80million.

  • Manchester United are considering a bid for Real Madrid’s 24-year-old midfielder Mesut Ozil. Germany international Mesut Ozil joined Real Madrid in 2010 from Werder Bremen for £12.4m
  • The Red Devils are also preparing a shock move for Real Madrid’s Brazilian midfielder Kaka. The new United boss has been keen to recruit a new midfielder all summer, but has so far failed in his attempts to sign the likes of Thiago Alcantara, Kevin Strootman and now former Arsenal captain Fabregas.
  • Liverpool are favourites to sign Anzhi Makhachkala attacking midfielder Willian, 25, for £30m but face strong competition from Tottenham and Manchester United.
  • Manager Brendan Rodgers is concerned Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, 26, could sabotage the Reds’ start to the Premier League with his push for a move away from Anfield.

Reds Plot Shock Bid To Resign Torres

  • Liverpool are considering making a shock move to re-sign Chelsea front man Fernando Torres this summer as a replacement for the Arsenal-bound forward Luis Suarez. The Gunners have expressed any interest in signing Suarez, with two bids already rejected, the second of which for £40m plus £1 was enough to activate the release clause in the Uruguay attacker’s contract at Anfield.

Arsenal return with 42.5 million bid for Suarez

  • Meanwhile the North London side Arsenal are reportedly preparing a third bid of £42.5m for unsettled Liverpool striker Luis Suarez who remains Wenger’s top transfer target this summer. Suarez is believed to have made it clear to his current employers of his desire to move on following Thursday’s meeting with the Anfield officials and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers

Napoli Complete Higuain Deal

  • Striker Gonzalo Higuain has sealed a five-year deal to join Serie A side Napoli from Spanish club Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee. The Argentina international,  25, who passed a medical with the ambitious Serie A club last week, has signed a reported five-year contrac. Real recieved £34.5million for the prolific frontman.

Real Madrid are getting ready to launch a final assault for Gareth Bale, and were reported to be preparing a jaw-dropping £95million bid to finally snatch the Welshman from Tottenham. British tabloid, The Sun reports that the Spanish giants will offer £51m cash plus £25m-rated Angel Di Maria and £19m Fabio Coentrao in what insiders described as the deal of the century.
